Official Contest Rules

1. Eligibility Requirements

This Contest is open to legal residents of Pennsylvania and Maryland who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of Siegman & Schaefer (DBA of Siegman Forced Air Systems, Inc.), its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members or those living in the same household are not eligible to participate.

2. Contest Period

The Unsung Heroes Contest ("Contest") runs during the announced contest period each year. All entries must be received digitally during the Contest Period to be eligible. Winners will be announced just before Thanksgiving. Check our social media channels or contact us for current contest dates.

3. How to Enter

To nominate an Unsung Hero, participants must:

1. Complete the online nomination form at the Unsung Heroes page.
2. Share their story — describing the nominee's service, community impact, and inspiration. Submissions should highlight:
   • Service and Dedication: How the nominee gives back to their community (volunteer work, caregiving, teaching, military or first responder service, etc.).
   • Impact: How their actions make a meaningful difference to others or the community.
   • Character and Inspiration: Why the nominee inspires others through humility, compassion, and leadership.
3. Entries must be authentic and original. AI-generated or plagiarized submissions will not be accepted.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law.

4. Selection of Finalists and Winners

A panel of judges from Siegman & Schaefer will review eligible nominations and select finalists based on the following criteria:

• Service and Community Impact — 40%
• Inspirational Story — 30%
• Quality and Authenticity of Submission — 30%

Finalists will then be featured on Siegman & Schaefer's social media channels, where the community will vote to help select the winners. Two (2) winners will be selected based on a combination of judging scores and community vote totals. Siegman & Schaefer reserves the right to make the final determination of winners.

5. Prizes

Each winner will receive a complete home HVAC system (heating and cooling) with professional installation, valued at approximately $12,000.

• Equipment selection and installation details are at the sole discretion of Siegman & Schaefer.
• Some homes may not qualify due to installation or safety limitations.
• The prize has no cash value and may not be transferred or substituted, except at Siegman & Schaefer's sole discretion.

Trane "Do What's Right" Program Compliance: The awarded systems and installations are provided under the Trane "Do What's Right" Charitable Program, designed to assist individuals or families in need through participating Trane Comfort Specialist (TCS) dealers. Each installation includes a complimentary 2-year extended labor warranty powered by JB Warranties, subject to Trane Technologies' approval and program availability.

6. Privacy & Publicity

By entering, participants agree to Siegman & Schaefer's Privacy Policy and grant permission for the company to use their names, stories, photos, and related media for promotional and marketing purposes, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

7. Taxes & Liability

Winners are responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes associated with the prize. Siegman & Schaefer will issue all required IRS documentation, including Form 1099s if applicable. Siegman & Schaefer and Trane Technologies are not responsible for any loss, damage, injury, or expense arising from participation in the Contest or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize.

8. Disputes & Governing Law

All disputes arising from or relating to this Contest shall be resolved individually, by binding arbitration, in the jurisdiction where Siegman & Schaefer operates, without resort to class actions. This Contest and these Official Rules shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of Maryland.

By submitting an entry, participants agree to:

• Abide by these Official Rules, which are final and binding.
• Comply with all applicable laws and contest terms.
• Release Siegman & Schaefer and its affiliates from any claims or liabilities arising from participation or prize receipt.

Siegman & Schaefer reserves the right to modify or terminate the Contest at its discretion.
