Furnaces -
Gas & Oil
The ultimate
in comfort
All
winter long, you depend on your furnace to meet the heating needs of
your home and your family. That’s why we build Trane furnaces to
perform again and again, year after year. Beyond performance, we also
provide you with options for energy-efficient operation. In fact, some
of our furnaces operate at over 90% efficiency, which means that 90% of
the fuel you pay for is actually converted into heat for your home. Take a look at the furnaces below and experience the Trane difference.
Air Handlers:
Improved circulation for total relaxation
Your central air conditioning system consists of two main parts—an outdoor unit and an indoor unit, or air handler. The air handler is an important part of your air conditioning equipment. Its job is to effectively circulate conditioned air throughout your home. When matched with a heat pump, it circulates both cool and hot air, depending on the season. With properly sized Trane air handlers, your family has the right amount of clean, comfortable air all year round.
Plus, Trane air handlers make a significant contribution to the overall efficiency of your system. That’s because the more efficient your air handler is, the less work your outdoor unit has to do to make your home comfortable. Take a look at our family of air handlers below to find the product that best fits your needs.
Communicating System:
Set for comfort
What’s happening behind-the-scenes in your home? If you have the Trane ComfortLink™ II fully integrated, self-configuring system, quite a lot is happening. From verifying proper installation to maintaining proper airflow calibration over the whole life of the system, Trane heating and cooling products are always talking to one another about how to keep your family comfortable.
Advanced technology inside specific air conditioning and heating system products allows components to communicate with one another. That way they’re always automatically configured and calibrated to your preferred settings, and constantly troubleshooting to achieve utmost efficiency, year after year.
If you want to join the conversation to monitor or adjust settings, you can call in at any time, no matter where you are, with the Telephone Access Module (TAM).
If you opt to use the new XL900 Series Comfort Control instead, you still have only one central resource that links all the communicating components in your system.
Packaged Units:
Everything You Need In One Cabinet
Packaged heating and air conditioning systems contain the same components you find in a typical split system. However, they’re all engineered to work together in one cabinet. And, just like other Trane systems, you have a variety of efficiency levels and air handling options to select from. Take a look at our family of packaged systems below. Our brief feature descriptions will help you find the packaged system that best fits your comfort needs.
Boilers - Oil & Gas Fired
Cut down on fuel costs, not warmth
You can count on comfortable heat and lower fuel costs with Trane’s energy-efficient boilers. Our boilers feature cast iron heat exchangers that quietly maximize heat transfer and fuel efficiency up to 86.7 % AFUE, so you use less fuel to warm your home. Trane boilers are also attractively designed and built to last, making them a solid investment if you’re upgrading or replacing your existing heating system. And because they are backed by our industry-leading warranties, you know you can expect reliable operation year after year.
EarthWise™ Hybrid System
Ultra Efficient EarthWise™ Hybrid Split System
What it is: A Trane EarthWise™ Hybrid Split System combines a high efficiency electric Heat Pump with a variable speed Gas Furnace.
With the flexibility of two energy sources, the system can actually optimize your utility use by switching back and forth to whichever source is most efficient for your comfort.
How EarthWise™ Hybrid Split Systems work: A hybrid system is one that's capable of heating your home using either electricity or fossil fuel. A Trane EarthWise™ Hybrid system combines an XLi electric heat pump with a variable speed gas or oil furnace for ultimate efficiency.
With the flexibility of two fuels, the system can actually optimize your energy use by switching back and forth to whichever source is most efficient for your comfort.
Even in northern climates, the electric heat pump can find enough ambient heat in the air to keep your home warm and comfortable well into fall. But when there's not enough ambient heat and a fossil fuel becomes the most efficient option, the system will switch to either natural gas or heating oil for the toasty, cozy heat of a furnace. The system's switch point is set automatically by your dealer, but can be overridden with the Comfort Control Module.
When winter ends and warm temperatures return, the heat pump will reverse its operation; instead of finding ambient heat in the air, it will pull the heat out of your home and radiate it outside. The furnace won't ignite, but will instead serve as a variable-speed blower to move the cooled air produced by the heat pump. This year-long efficiency is what makes Trane EarthWise™ Hybrids such a smart choice.
Ultra Efficient EarthWise™ Hybrid Packaged System
What it is: Our EarthWise™ Hybrid Packaged System Contains the same components you find in a EarthWise™ Hybrid Split System. However they are all engineered to work together in one attractive cabinet. Whether installed on the ground beside your home or positioned on a roof top, Trane packaged units are designed to adapt seemlessly to your needs. Our family of Trane EarthWise™ Hybrid Packaged Systems consist of the highly efficient XL16c and XL14c.
How our packaged EarthWise™ Hybrid Systems work: A Trane EarthWise™ Hybrid packaged system allows you to select the best utility option based on climate conditions and energy costs. In winter, a heat pump uses electricity to capture the heat that's always present in the outside air and circulates it back into your home, while a furnace burns natural gas to heat the indoor air. Your independent Trane dealer can set the system to automatically switch from electric to gas heat, or you can make that selection with a Trane Comfort Control. And in summer, the heat pump works as an air conditioner, pulling heat out of your home and releasing it outdoors - while the variable speed blower motor with Comfort-R™ technology helps control humidity and circulate cooled air more evenly throughout your home. The flexibility of a hybrid system leads to year long efficiency and maximum comfort
